The '''Blacksun Filter''' is a [[Tau]] device known to allow them to see at much greater distances during night fighting scenarios. Presumably they somehow replicate the effects of sunlight on objects through sights without actually illuminating the target. They can be attached to both Tau units, and vehicles.
