The terms "augmetic", "bionic", and "cybernetic" are all used fairly interchangeably. This is readily apparent when comparing the core rulebooks of RPG systems like Wrath & Glory, Dark Heresy, and Black Crusade. Each uses the terms augmetic, bionic, or cybernetic respectively to essentially restate the same enhancements.
Notes
*Note 1: Fantasy Flight Games' RPG systems all have (generally) the same reused text for their Cybernetics chapters. However, there can be minor wording changes and an additional or missing cybernetic listed. This includes the Black Crusade Core Rulebook, Only War: Core Rulebook, Rogue Trader Core Rulebook and Dark Heresy Core Rulebook. This is the primary source for "replacement" and "implant" distinction.192122 Newer RPG systems from Cubicle 7's Wrath & Glory Core Rulebook and Imperium Maledictum: Core Rulebook, while largely still reusing many bionics and description, sometimes adds minor additional notes or minor rephrasings.18c33
*Note 2: Some sources list Bionic Heart under "Bionic Replacements".193233 While others list it under "Implant Systems".31b
