===Castraferrum Patterns===
no edit summary
The most commonly used Dreadnought today is the '''Castraferrum Pattern''', specifically the '''Mk.IV''' and '''Mk.V''' types. The Castraferrum is the most used today because it uses an adaptable thermic reactor instead of the little-understood atomantic arc reactors of the [[Contemptor Pattern]]. The Castraferrum is very different from other types, being shorter than the Contemptor Pattern. The Castraferrum was introduced to meet a range of tactical challenges such as direct assault, boarding, tunnel fights, and subterranean combat. Its low profile allows the Castraferrum to excel in all of these roles.{{Fn|15}}
