===Battle===
Just before the loyalist force moved toward the warp transfer point at [[Calah ShoalsSystem]]Shoals, the secessionists attacked. The battle was swift and hard fought, with the ''[[Admiral Gregorius]]'' blasted to atoms in the opening salvo of the fight. The ''[[Pyre of Glory]]'' was far less easy prey and only surrendered after a three hour long running battle.{{Fn|1}}
After the victory, [[Carnac Commodus]] of the [[Astral Claws]] ordered his warriors not only to kill all of the Salamanders who peacefully surrendered to the [[Executioners]] [[Space Marines]] (who were allies to the Astral Claws), but also to remove all of Salamanders' precious [[geneseed]] stored on the battle-barge. Insulted by this unimaginable order, the Executioners turned on the Astral Claws and with the aid of all of the surviving Salamanders started the bloody decimation of their former allies. In the ensuing battle on board the ''Pyre of Glory'' and the Astral Claws' ship ''[[Hyrcania]]'', every single Astral Claw, [[serf|chapter serf]] and [[servitor]] present was relentlessly and savagely slaughtered, and the ''Hyrcania'' was left a charnel house of decapitated bodies.{{Fn|1}}
