Described as humanoid, yet grotesquely hunched and cadaverous like flayed, reanimated corpses. They are preternaturally strong. They are blind; in place of eyes they have multiple olfactory orifices which they use to track their prey across great distances.{{Fn|3}}
Being sightless, yet quite agile, their tracking abilities are quite renowned and once a prey has been caught by the beast's quivering scent-pits, it is known that nothing is able to escape these whip-thin horrors.{{Cite Marker EndFn|3}}
