The '''Codicium Aeternum''' is an Imperial tome in which the [[Inquisition]] attempted to record a full and faithful account of the [[Daemons]] that the [[Grey Knights]] and the Inquisition have banished, as well as extrapolations of their return. It contains hundreds of daemonic names, including [[Angron]], [[Cherubael]], [[Doombreed]], [[Ghargatuloth]] and [[N'Kari]], with the dates and predicted durations of their banishments noted beside.{{Cite Marker EndFn|1c}}
The Codicium was assumed lost for decades in the libraries on [[Tethys]]. It had been in truth stolen by rogue [[Inquisitor]] [[Gholic Ren-Sar Valinov]]. It was confiscated after he was taken into custody. The Codicium led Inquisitor [[Ligeia]] and [[Justicar]] [[Alaric]] to the [[Trail of Saint Evisser]] to hunt the Daemon [[Ghargatuloth]].{{Fn|1a}}
