Legends held in the librarium vaults of the ''[[Phalanx]]'' describe the – possibly apocryphal – deeds of [[Chief Librarian]] [[Malandar Osrak]] who in '''486.[[M32]]''' led the a strike force of [[Imperial Fists]] into [[The Maelstrom]] to defeat the "Nine Daemon Lords of the Maelstrom", battling each upon a different world and sacrificing a finger upon each mutated planet to bind the [[Daemon]]'s essence to the world's rocky bones that they should never rise again.{{Fn|86}}
