====The Kesh'val Declaration====
The Kesh'val Declaration was a special clandestine order given by the Fifth Sphere late into its existence. It was issued by Supreme Commander Shadowsun and approved by [[Ethereal]] [[El'Vesh]]. The Declaration sought to dispatch highly specialize flotillas deep into enemy space and discover [[Necron]] [[Tomb World]]s. When slumbering Necron tomb complexes were identified, these fleets were instructed to deploy [[Stealth Battlesuit]] teams equipped with the latest [[XV26]] and [[Drone]] models and plunder the alien technology and bring them back to the [[Earth Caste]] for analysis. Shadowsun and El'Vesh believe that while it may take many generations for the plan to bear any fruit, it will strengthen the Tau in the face of its many enemies. One such deployment took place at [[Ctesiphus VII]].{{Fn|6}}
====The Relics of Jovandira====
At some point during the expansion, the T'au Empire conquered the [[Imperial]] [[Relic World]] of [[Jovandira]]. In order to further understand Imperial culture and technology, the T'au shipped relics off-world to study them. After this came to the attention of the Imperium, [[Torchbearer]] task force [[Strike Force Retribution]], containing [[Adeptus Custodes]], [[Raven's Watch]], and [[Imperial Fists]], was redirected to the planet to remove the T'au presence, which consisted of parts of the [[D'yanoi]] and [[Ke'lshan]] [[Septs]]. A battle between the two armies ensued, with both sides suffering heavy casualties before withdrawing.{{Fn|7}}
