The Red Scorpions generally display Company number as a black roman numeral upon a marine's left kneepad, which always has a yellow background. Squad number can be indicated with white arabic numerals either on a marine's right kneepad or right [[pauldron ]] (in the bottom-right corner), however many marines opt not to display squad number at all. {{Fn|6c}}
