An Orky page this time, I'm afraid but it's got a lot of Grotz in there
OrksPortal
Stimma was a Blood Axe Painboy of some renown, whose adventures have included at least two run-ins with the legendary Grot hero known as Da Red Gobbo.1c2g

History
Early Days
Stimma took on the mantle of Painboy after his mob's previous Dok, Vakka was killed by enemy T'au as a result of Stimma's taunts drawing unwanted attention. The railgun blast was not a direct hit, leaving Vakka just enough time to explain to a reluctant Stimma what his life's direction must now be. The Dok explained that Stimma was a strong candidate for a Painboy: cruel and lazy, and though the young Ork maintained that being a Painboy was a boring job, he watched and listened as his dying elder gave a rudimentary lecture in Ork biology, from the wobbler to the heart, pointing all the while to the body parts in his now conveniently (and inconveniently) exposed flank. From there, Stimma set about the battlefield looking for living and dead Orks in whom to rummage around. He was hooked.2b

Over the next few years, Stimma built up a reputation as a basically trustworthy Painboy and earned the nickname 'Gut-shiv', due to his lanky appearance as much as his professional technique. He soon became a regular at Da Konference, an educational and competitive event organised by Stimma's Warboss, Big Zag as an occasion to show off Stimma's medikal prowess and for the various Doks to learn all they could about what makes an Ork tick. Unsurprisingly, Da Konference routinely ended in a big fight.2b

The Space Hulk
When Stimma was still a young Ork, he was recruited by the Freebooter Aznab to join a boarding party assaulting a Space Hulk that had floated into Ork space, waiting to be looted. Aznab was not daft; he could recognise this as an obvious trap but traps could be a good fight and there was a lot of loot in it.1a

As it transpired, this was indeed a trap, one lain by the mysterious Instigator. Gradually, the yoofs that had been brought along as cannon fodder were whittled down by the servitor defences and other traps. Stimma very sensibly stuck to the kaptin.1a

Eventually it became clear that the fearsome enemy they faced was nothing more than a horde of Grotz.1b Though they killed many of the tiny beasts, the party was worn down to an exhausted Stimma and Aznab, at which point the two were sucked by a vacuum towards the bridge where they finally met the Instigator - a Grot formerly known as Scratcha but who was now identified as the infamous Red Gobbo.1c

The Grot didn't say much, but he certainly left an impression on Stimma, who barely escaped the chain of explosions set off in that moment. Aznab almost survived the trip back to his ship but Stimma thought it would be a shame to waste the opportunity.1c

Karanos V
Stimma was fortunate enough to be involved in the conquest of Karanos V, an Imperial planet of several billion people, by the massive Waaagh! of Big Zag, who was also really massive.2a Though the fighting was still ongoing, Stimma made himself scarce after a treatment left an important and quite frightening patient less than impressed, ducking out to attend Da Konference.2b

When Stimma returned, he was dismayed to find the Grotz of Karanos V acting very strangely indeed. Rather than misbehaving as usual, the little gits were behaving, which was most unnerving - no thieving, plotting, skiving or cursing in sight. He was relieved to find his Grot orderly Goggulz behaving in the way that every Grot should: he was horrible. Nonetheless, he was still extremely concerned, as he was convinced that the Grotz needed the usual chaos of their social relations to get any proper work done for the Orks2b so he went with Goggulz to inform Big Zag, who naturally assigned the task of fixing the Grotz to the Ork who'd brought the problem to him, before the end of the day, on pain of death.2c

Stimma had the idea (with Goggulz' help) that to get the Grotz back to normal, he needed to set off a new Red Gobbo, but one he controlled this time.2c He set off on an increasingly desperate odyssey to bring about an Ork-controlled revolushun, first visiting with 'Say Yes' Yag, the Freebooter Kaptin,2d then to his Mekboy mate Shank2e and finally his nemesis and neighbour, the bizarre Weirdboy Eadrek.2f

Stimma snapped out of his vision quest in Eadrek's hut to find a headless Grot strangling the Weirdboy to death.2f Revolushun was already in the air. He rushed outside to be confronted by Big Zag, who was dying, and his little Grot Goggulz, who revealed that the whole affair had been a ruse to leave the Orks disarmed and unguarded. He acknowledged that the Grotz would eventually be beaten down again, but each time they rise up, the infamy of Da Red Gobbo would grow and grow until the fateful day when the last Ork is slain. After that, the two partook in one final fight to the death.2g

Equipment
Stimma, like many Painboyz, wore much of his gear on his person for ready availability should he suddenly need to operate on a patient or operate a nasty-looking shoota.2b A favourite weapon of his was a needle gun nicked off a humie kommando.2e
