The [[Reaver Jetbike|Reaver]] commander [[Maless Darkblade]], eschewing orders of retreat, found the Vault of Wishes, upon which was inscribed "Step forward into the Vaults of Wishes and become as a God". {{Fn|1}} Wanting the power for himself, Maless betrayed his compatriots and slaughtered them before opening the door alone – inside discovering a [[Daemon]] which [[Daemonic Possession|Possessed]] his body, and asserting dominance over the daemon agreed to commit cruelties undreamed of together.{{Fn|1}}
