The Sun Shark was developed to support highly mobile [[Hunter Cadre]]s, which normally do not employ heavy artillery in a conventional sense. Thus a solution was required to provide these formations with heavy firepower against large targets, and the Sunshark was the answer which the [[Air Caste]] provided.{{Fn|5}}
