As the Burning of Prospero begins, Bulveye, Jarl of Dekk-Tra, is recalled from a crusade fleet to rejoin the forces of the Space Wolves to aid in the battle against the Thousand Sons. During the battle, Orr manages to escape through an enigmatic portal that shimmers with a golden hue. Deciding the follow, Bulveye leads his forces into pursuit. The portal leads to a an interconnected system of unending gates that connect across hundreds of worlds through the warp, yet every time they use the portals, they risk destabilizing and damaging its structure, which leads to temporal loops and spatial anomalies. Realizing they are now in a warp-maze, the Space Wolves suffer loses as they struggle to find the way out. Finally, they encounter Orr and his group of sorceress paralyzed in time as they fought against other Space Wolves. Without a way out, Orr explains that the portals are in danger of collapsing and trapping them forever inside the warp, so he offers to surrender himself for the sake of both parties to find a way out. Bulveye refuses, arguing that the orders of Leman Russ were clear. He proceeds to execute Orr with a plasma shot to the chest. As Orr falls, he condemns their folly, for now they will be trapped forever inside the unstable portal system. Bulveye roared with laughter, commanding the rest of his forces to search for the lost Space Wolves, and destroy any remaining Thousand Sons.2
