The gemstone which [[Trazyn]] intended to steal stole from inside the [[World Spirit]] of the [[Exodites]] of [[Cepharil]] was noted by the novel's author [[Robert Rath]] in the book's official commentary to have been a Phoenix Gem.{{Fn|3a}} This suggests that an additional ability of a Phoenix Gem is to enable a [[Necron]], such as [[Orikan]] in the novel, to achieve temporary apotheosis akin to that of an [[Eldar God|God]].{{Fn|3b}}
