Polixis, alongside his brother [[Kastor (Chaplain)|Kastor]], are the first two [[Primaris]] [[Ultramarines]] to be born on a world in [[Ultramar]], rather than on [[Mars]]. They were both born on the [[agri-world]] [[Iax]].{{Fn|2f}}
==History==
Sometime later, Polixis joined Strike Force Fulminata's efforts to save the [[Hive World]] [[Ikara IX]], from the [[Ork]] hordes of [[Warboss|Warlord]] [[Urgork]].{{Fn|2a}} During the campaign, Polixis and his squad were separated from the main Imperial force and captured by [[Kommando]]s. Polixis was the sole survivor and was brought before Urgork, who revealed that he wished to study Polixis for the secrets of his biology and healing abilities.{{Fn|2b}}
Polixis was then brutally tortured by the Orks, including being forced to consume the heart of one of his fallen brothers.{{Fn|2c}} Thanks to Kastor and his [[Reiver]]s launching a rescue attempt, Polixis was able to escape and engaged in battle with Urgork. In the end, Polixis sacrificed himself to save the Chaplain by stepping in front of the Warbosses Warboss's [[Chain Weapon]]. Kastor was able to kill Urgork, decimating the Ork horde and allowing for the Imperium to emerge victorious under the now-Captain Tyranus. Much to Kastor's relief, Polixis was able to recover from his injuries aboard the ''[[Spear of Macragge (Battle Barge)|Spear of Macragge]]''.{{Fn|2d}}
