*The Salamanders were at one stage conceptualized as being black of skin tone; this was commonly interpreted (by the [['Eavy Metal]] painters as well as the fandom) to mean a natural black skin tone.{{CME}} In [[Warhammer 40,000#Fifth Edition .282008.29|Fifth edition]] however, it was made clear that this meant actual '''black''' skin; as in jet black, coal black etc. Additionally, the Salamanders were also given 'burning' red eyes that actually glow.

*[[Pellas Mir'san]] is listed as 2nd Company Captain in [[Psychic Awakening: Faith and Fury]], contradicting the earlier revelation in [[Codex Supplement: Salamanders (8th Edition)]] that [[N'kelm]] had replaced him as captain.
