The Crimson Fists diverge slightly from the standard [[Codex Astartes|Codex]]-compliant markings. For example, they do not utilise company colour markings on their armour, instead painting their shoulder trim in the blue of their Chapter{{Fn|Note Two}}. Another notable difference is that they do not use helm rank patterning and colouration to the same extent as prescribed in the Codex Astartes; however, they do employ some variety{{Fn|22c}}.
