→Known variations and other half-tracks
The two-ton buggies have rear caterpillar tracks, a mesh flatbed and pintle-mounted heavy stubbers. While one Guardsman drives the vehicle, the other sits in a roll cage behind them and will heave themselves up to use the stubbers that are above them.1 Other Half-track models have longer double-tracks and are armed with a missile launcher platform2 or a flat bed-mounted hydra battery.8 The forces of Chaos also make use of half-tracks, arming them with heavy bolters and searchlights.9
