*The date given for the end of the Roman Empire does not match with those given by historians. There are three years often accepted as the end of the Roman Empire. 395.M1 with the end of the unified Empire, 476.M1 with the end of the Western Empire, or in 453.M2 with the end of the Eastern Empire. ===Notes===There is a lack of clarity over whether 000.M1 or 001.M1 is the first year of the millennium, and whether 999.M1 or 000.M1 is the last year of the millennium. Most sources state that 001.M1 is the first year and 000.M1 the last year. Since the creation of these articles Lexicanum has worked off of what is stated in the 5th Edition Rulebook, that being that 000.M1 is the first year, and 999.M1 is the last. Events in 000.M1 thus may have been either at the start or end of the millennium. For more information see here.
