When the Guardsman was slain in a [[Chaos|dark ritual]], conducted by the [[Alpha Legion]] [[Chaos Sorcerer|Sorcerer]] [[Sindri Myr]], the weapon fell into a coagulating reservoir of blood, where it absorbed a tiny fragment of the ritual's power. After Sindri was defeated, the Dominion of the Weak was later recovered by the Blood Ravens.{{Fn|1}}
