Markalla Eureos Vahrnistra fon SargottaXXI was an Imperial Navy Captain, until she betrayed the Imperium and joined the forces of the Red Corsairs Warband.1
History
Coming from a venerated noble lineage, while serving in the Imperial NavySol System , she was wounded. While recovering, rivals back home usurped her position. In retaliation, Sargotta organised the handing over said to have come from some of an orbital void docks to pirateSaturn's greatest voidmasters. As a result of her lineage and joined status, she learned from an early age to negotiate the Red Corsairs thereaftervicious politicking and frequent assassinations of the Imperial nobility. Sargotta seethed and soon plotted her revenge while stationed Gorvillus' naval headquarters at Skorand. Transmitting the base commands codes to nearby Pirates, she organised the handing over of an orbital void docks to the raiders. The ensuing attack - later dubbed the Skorand Infamy - saw the murder of thousands and the theft of billions of tons of material. In the aftermath of the incident, she joined the pirates and came into the service of Huron Blackheart and his Red Corsairs.4 Sargotta now commands the Battlecruiser Reign of Spite, but despite being surrounded by Chaos Space Marines, Sargotta still freely speaks her mind to the Red Corsairs. She is the leading void tactician of the Red Corsairs and an architect of many of their naval victories.2 She also serves to act as an intermediary between Huron and his Astartes elite and the baseline human officers of the Red Corsairs. She can assess the competencies of Huron's other mortal shipmasters and the value of captured vessels for service, though her own obsessive contempt for rivals has seen some killed by her hand. Far from a mere emissary, she also acts as Huron's eyes and ears amongst the lower leadership in his forces and is known for her potent ability in intelligence-gathering and void combat.4 Though she does not possess the transhuman might of her overlords, Sargotta is far from unaugmented. She possesses extensive neural enhancements which have increased her cognitive power. This allows her to calculate firing solutions and gauge orbital distances instantenously instantaneously without any need for Cogitators. She also utilizes a servo-platform known as the Mizzenwale Dais. Built by Hereteks, this floating device allows her to effectively command from anywhere within her fleet. On the rare occasion she has to take part in a boarding operation herself, the device can connect to the command network of enemy vessels and slave their systems to her will. For self-defense, she wields a Laspistol and Power Sword.3
