They consist of the older members of a pack, wise in thier years, and long in the fang (hence the name, long fangs). It is left to them normally to decern where their heavy weapons fire is most needed, and the squad can split it's fire power between two targets. This allows the player to use one squad to similatiously knock out tanks, and provide covering fire for his other troops. One squad takes up a heavy support choice, and consists of 2 to 4 long fangs and a pack leader.
The [[Preditor]][[Annahilator]] is an invention of the Long Fangs. Engaged in a war with [[Chaos Space Marines]]. They were unable to get their lascannons into range of the enemy tanks, due to the hail of fire the enemy was able to lay down. To counter this, the Long Fangs and [[Iron Priest]]s ripped the [[autocannon]]s out of thier [[preditor]] tanks, and replaced them with the Long Fang's [[Lascannon]]s. The protection afforded to them by the tanks armoured hull, enabled the Long Fangs to get within range of the enemy tanks, and destroy them. The [[Adeptus Mechanicus]] was dismayed that thier precious [[STC]] tanks had been modified, but soon other chapters started following suit, replacing some of their preditor [[Destructor]]s, weapons with lascannon. So was born, the annhilator, it continues to serve as the main space marine anti-vechile tank.
