Jago is an ancient fortress world that was assaulted by the Imperial Guard duering the Sabbat Worlds Crusade(778.M41). Formerly held completely by warriors of the Blood Pact (Elite soldiers under the command of Archenemy Overlord Urlock Gaur), the Guard drove the enemy to a standstill.
Jago's terrain is mostly flat desert with massive mountain ranges dividing the planet. Trenches, partially filled in by millenia of duststorms, cover the landscape. Barracs,trenches, pillboxes and fortifications, far too large to have ever been built by Humans or any of the known xenos pattern the entire planet, towering far above and far below the surface.
Commanded by Gen. Van Voytz, the Tanith First and Only, led by Colonel- Commissar Gaunt, moved to cover the flank of the offensive force by capturing and defencing the frotress "Hinzerhaus".
