The current 5th edition rulebook for the [[Games Workshop]] Table Top game [[Warhammer 40,000]]. The book's official release was on 12 July 2008, as a hardback book. Reduced version is said to be released with the [[Assault on Black Reach]] boxed set.
The book has 304 pages and the cover is printed in color colour with the majority of the book being in full colorcolour, although the Reference and the Rules sections remain white and black. However, those are less than one third of the book.

==Changes== The major rule changes from the 4th edition rulebook include the addition of running, the refining of blast and template weapons and a greater degree of usability in building and other forms of cover. Vehicle ramming has also been included in this edition. In terms of background, the 5th edition goes into greater detail for each race. There is far greater detail in the backround of the imperium, including a detailed timeline of the last 250 years of the 41st millennium, featuring events seen in a number of [[Black Library]] publications, such as the [[Ultramarines]] defence of Tarsis Ultra. ==Authors, Artists and CoworkersCo-workers==
