→The Quest for Knowledge
The Adeptus Mechanicus and its cult is driven by the ''Quest for Knowledge'', and devotes itself to research and exploration. As the [[STC]] is said to contain the sum total of all human knowledge, this is the ultimate focus of the quest. The purpose of the many exploratory missions is the recovery of STC knowledge.
No working STC systems have been recovered. The STC survives only as print-outs, some of which are many thousands of years old. Although considered the most reliable, there are very few first generation print-outs, and these are regarded as the most sacred of texts. Any rumour of a functional system is followed up and investigatedpursued fanatically. '''The Mysteries''' *01. Life is directed motion.*02. The spirit is the spark of life.*03.
