The '''Distortion Cannon''' or '''D-Cannon''' is an [[Eldar]] heavy support weapon.
It a A D-Cannon uses small [[Warp|warp]] engines to create a temporary hole between warp and real space on the battlefield.1 This warp-space interface rift is then projected toward towards an enemy. Anything it touches is subjected to great stress created by torn momentarily from real space. Although the interface between real target is not forced into warp space for more than a fraction of a second, the immense wrenching force exerted on them in that time will dismember all but the strongest of targets, and cripple most vehicles. A side effect of the actual rift itself is a distorting effect on the physical space the warpwill have. As a consequence objects and people will often be 'pulled' towards the rift or 'dragged' along in its wake as it travels. These stresses are strong enough Items that travel in this way will not actually move as such, but the place they were originally will be folded to damage even the most heavily armored vehicleplace where their destination is, such is the effect warp space has on reality.
