Once the bridges were secure "Operation Pilum" was the ''second'' phase. This phase called for Imperial Guard units supported by Marines to push in from the outskirts of the city to those units holding the bridges.
When Moros City was secured the ''thrid'' and last phase of the campaign was enacted,"Operation Gladius". Gladius was the retaking of [[Fort Moros]] and proved to be the most difficultphase. Bitter street fighting were the hallmarks of the entire battle with no quarter given or shown.
