[[Chaplain]] '''Varnus''' was a member of the [[Adeptus Astartes]] and belonged to the [[Ultramarines]] [[Chapter]].
== Biography==
Varnus was the leader of a detachment of Ultramarines Space Marines that were sent to the planet [[Lorn V]] where he was the leader of a bodyguard unit tasked with the protection as well as delivery of a [[Titan]]'s [[Princeps]] and crew to the site of the abandoned machine [[Dominatus]].
Whilst engaging in his mission, his [[Thunderhawk]] gunship was shot down by [[Chaos Space Marines]]. Only Varnus and a handful of his troops survived who held off waves of [[Chaos]] hordes as well as sent a distress signal that was recieved by [[General]] [[Sturnn]] of the [[Imperial Guard]]. These reinforcements managed to conduct a search and rescue mission behind enemy lines that succeeded in saving Varnus.
One of the noted accomplishments of Chaplain Varnus was his single handedly slaying a [[Daemon]] [[Bloodthirster]] in combat.
