Orkoid physiology

Theories of evolution/creation: addition of conclusion based on previously discussed information
The more modern one is that they are the Krork, created as a survivor race by the Old Ones (referred to in Ork legend as the Brain Boyz) in their wars against the Necrontyr. The fact that an entire ecosystem can be constructed of Orkoids, and their total war-readiness, suggests that this is the more likely of the two. In early forms of this theory, the Brain Boyz were an Orkoid subspecies, along with Orks, Squigs, and Gretchin.

This is further supported by the fact that Orks possess a similar (albiet not used in game) skill to the Necron We'll Be Back rule, in that, even if an initial attack of Orks is defeated, ork physiology means that settlements may be attacked in perpetuity by feral ork tribes that develop as each successive generation of orks breeds the next, all while destroying anything in sight. This could potentially allow them to keep up with the Necron forces, regrowing troops while the necrons repair there own.
