During the battle for Balhaut he led forces on the Balopolis front after 1 one [[Imperial]] [[Commander]] was injured and 2 two others were killed in the space of 3 three days. He was promoted to the rank of Marshall by the Warmaster and took control of that entire front, turning what was seen as an impending Imperial defeat into a great victory.
During the battle for the Ogliarchy High Palace Warmaster Slaydo was killed in battle against the [[Chaos]] Archon [[Nadzybar]] and on his death bed had made Macaroth the Warmaster of the Crusade.
