'''Psycannons''' are weapons utilized by the [[Ordo Malleus]] and [[Grey Knights]]. They are based on bolt weapons, replacing the bolt warheads with psychically impregnated ritually inscribed silver tips,psychically charged and backed by an isotope explosive. They are primarily useful against psychic creatures such as [[daemon]]The Psycannon's. Each bolt weight is offset by suspensors to permit it to be fired on the move, although the effective range is inscribed with anti-daemonic symbols.reduced when compared to being properly balanced
A Grey Knight Terminator armed with a psycannon can fire it at full effect even when on the move.
The Psycannon can also be used in conjunction with a device called a [[Bionics#MIU|Mind Impulse Unit]]. The Psycannon is linked to the mind of the user and is fired by mental intent. This has the advantages of allowing the user to fire the weapon while keeping both hands free, and allowing the user a greater intimacy with his weapons internal workings, such as ammunition count or barrel temperature. Also, if the user is a psyker, they can infuse their own power with that of the weapon, adding to its already devastating effect.
