Tank Destroyers are commonly constructed with thicker armor than other tanks. The [[Destroyer Tank Hunter]] has much thinker armor than the [[Leman Russ]] it was based off of, and the [[Hammerhead]] has much thicker armor than the [[Devilfish]] it was based off of. Their weapons are also commonly more powerful than the base vehicle, as is the case with the [[Land Raider Terminus]].
Tank Destroyers are either used to ambush enemy tanks, as is the case with [[Tau]] [[Piranhas]] when armed with [[fusion blasters]], or used to annihilate enemy vehicles from afar, as is the case with the [[Eldar]] [[Fire Prism]]...
