After the [[Horus Heresy]], the [[primarch]]s of those [[Space Marine]] [[Legion]]s that turned traitor fled to the [[Eye of Terror]] or other warp regions. They were each promoted to Daemon Prince status for their belief in the power of Chaos and their hatred for the [[Imperium]].
