It is connected to the central nervous system of the [[tech priest]], and so is controlled through thought just like a biological limb. Mechandarites Mechadendrites are usually longer than the tech priests other arms and are built like tentacles to allow maximum reach and flexibility. They are constructed from mettalic alloys. Members of the Adeptus Mechanicus from the Enginseer rank and above can have MechandaritesMechadendrites, and although they often only have one fitted, the theoretical limit of the quantity of these augmetics is only what the body of the tech priest can support.

[[Servitor]]s can also have Mechandarites Mechadendrites to assist the enginseer they are assigned to.
