The Soul Grinder is a daemonic war machine used by the daemons of Chaos, said to originate from the Forge of Souls. As a result Soul Grinders in general are unaligned; they are not tied to any one Chaos God.
Overview
In daemon armies, the Soul Grinder plays a role roughly equivalent to that of a battle tank or dreadnought in conventional armies. It is well armoured, appearing as a six-legged construct with a roughly humanoid upper body. Soul Grinders possess impressive durability, firepower, and strength compared to the rank and file daemons. These qualities allow them to provide fire support for daemon troops who for the most part lack ranged attacks (with the exception of Tzeentchian daemons). As a walker of daemonic strength it can also tear apart lesser enemies at close quarters.  There is a passing resemblance to the Chaos Defiler; however , but the background states that Defilers were commissioned by Abaddon the Despoiler while Soul Grinders are from the Forge of Souls. There is no known link between Soul Grinders possess impressive durability, firepower, and strength compared to the two, besides their general appearance rank and daemonic naturefile daemons.
Armament and Upgrades
The Soul Grinder is armed with close combat weapons appropriate for it's size such as large blades or claws, as well as ranged other weapons such as a harvester and a mawcannon. The mawcannon can be upgraded with different special abilities.
