They are used by the [[Space Marines]], either loyal or heretic, and maintained its superior design throughout time. Like the [[Rhino]], its versatility makes it a very popular choice throughout the galaxy.
==Land Raider==
Its armament consists of 2 pairs of [[twin-linked]] [[Lascannons]] in the side sponsens and one [[twin-linked]] [[Heavy Bolter]]. The Land Raider can also carry 10 Space Marines in [[Power Armour]] or 5 in [[Terminator Armour]]. Every Land Raider has his own [[Machine Spirit]] that allows it to fire and/or move if the crew is disabled.
The [[Black Templars]] created their own version of the Land Raider called the [[Land Raider Crusader]]. The Crusader pattern Land Raider was officially recognized by the Techpriests of Mars in 763.[[M39]], thus authorizing any Space Marines force to incorporate such vehicles into their forces. Other patterns of Land Raider include the [[Land Raider Prometheus]] (command variant), armed with dual twin-linked heavy bolters in each turret and an advanced command array and the [[Land Raider Hyperion]], an artilary carrying variant.
==Land Raider Crusader==
The Land Raider Crusader is a version of the trusty Land Raider designed by the Black Templars.
It is fitted with a twin-linked Assault Cannons, Hurricane-pattern bolters (6 bolters linked to fire simultaneously) and a Multi-melta. The sponson mounted Hurricane-pattern bolters replace the Lascannons normally found on standard Land Raiders and the subsequent removal of generators required to power the Lascannons allow for greater capacity to hold larger squads.
It can carry 15 Space Marines in Power Armour or 8 Space Marines in Terminator Armour and is mostly used as an assault troop transport. The Land Raider Crusader was officially recognized by the Techpriests of Mars in 763.M39, thus allowing all Space Marines chapters to use it.
