The '''Damocles Gulf''' is a series of worlds in the [[Tau Empire]] sector of space. The [[Damocles Crusade]] was fought between the [[Tau Empire]] and the [[Imperium]], and was the first time the two forces met militarily. Previously the Tau had been unaware of the true size of the Imperium. Despite the Ethereals' instructions that the Gulf was to be off-limits to the Tau, [[Commander Farsight]] has established colonies there, known as the Farsight Enclaves, which have severed contact with the Empire.
