Stig-Shambler Grunt and Snivels[1]

Stig-Shamblers are symbiotic partnerships of Mutants on Necromunda. Usually, a stig-shambler is a physically frail but mentally strong individual riding on the back of a physically strong but mentally weak individual. They are a common sight in House Cawdor.[1]

Overview

House Cawdor normally has zero tolerance for mutants and abhumans. They view physical deformities as clear signs of inner corruption and a turning away from the Emperor's light. Believing that true loyalty and dedication to the Emperor would prevent such debasement, they see these abnormalities as proof of a corrupted soul. As a result, House Cawdor actively hunts and exterminates those with such deformities, viewing them as affronts to the Emperor that must be eradicated.[1]

Despite this, House Cawdor contains many members who are physically or mentally atypical. These individuals, who might be lame, mentally weak, abnormally large, or strangely proportioned, are paradoxically accepted within the house. The reason for this tolerance lies in the faith of their leaders, who permit these individuals to live and serve the holy cause. These denizens, often referred to as "stigs," work together, compensating for each other's weaknesses and forming valuable partnerships within Cawdor gangs.[1]
