Stormherald was an Imperator Battle Titan of the Legio Invigilata.[1b]
History
Stormherald was the lead Titan of an Invigilata battle group led by Princeps Majoris Zarha Mancion during the Third War for Armageddon. She would lead the group in the defence of Hive Helsreach.[1b]
At one point in the siege, Zarha chose to move Stormherald ahead of its supporting Skitarii in an attempt to avenge the death of the Reaver Titan Draconian and its Princeps, Jacen Veragon. As a result, Stormherald was caught in a giant ork booby trap.[1c] As it was pinned beneath the wreckage of a number of skyscrapers that the orks had brought down, an army of the greenskins attempted to climb onto the Titan and board it. To make matters worse, Zarha was almost subsumed by the might of Stormherald's machine-spirit. Both Zarha and Stormherald were saved by Reclusiarch Grimaldus of the Black Templars, who led his command squad in a counter boarding operation that eliminated the orks, before commanding the Princeps to honour the oath she swore to defend Helsreach, preventing her from being lost.[1d]
In the final stages of the siege, Stormherald was destroyed in combat with the mighty Ork Gargant Godbreaker. Although some of the crew managed to survive the battle itself, they were cut down by the orks that were plundering the Titan's corpse.[1e]
