Straban
Straban is a Heavy Intercessor of the Ultramarines Second Company and a member of Combat Squad Veridian.[1a]

Biography
Straban was onboard on the Battle Barge Resilient accompanying Valius and his squad leader Decimus when they're called upon by Lieutenant Demetrian Titus for an important mission. Titus debriefed his men regarding his Combat Squad Damocles would be recovering data from a mechanicus research facility in Sector 41A but a large Tyranid Swarm threatens to overrun both the facility and a nearby Imperial Guard base to the east. Straban and his squad are ordered to run a delaying action by sabotaging a Promethium Refinery as the Tyranid Swarm is heading there. After their mission debrief, Straban and his squad head out to a Thunderhawk gunship to being the mission.[1b]
Inferno
After Straban and his squad deployed, Titus gave additional instructions to his squad. Their orders are to sabotage Promethium Refinery by using its stored Promethium to destroy the Tyranid Swarm and restablish communication with the Astra Militarum Camp as they lost contact with the Cadians who are going to assist the Ultramarines on their mission along with Captain Acheran monitor the progress of their mission. Straban and his brothers made their way to the Astra Militarum camp and reported their findings to Captain Acheran that every Cadian personnel are wiped out. Captain Acheran ordered Straban and his brothers to shift their priorities and find the Demolition Codes from within the Cadian corpses as they needed it to detonate the ordinances and destroy the Tyranid Swarm. Once Straban and his brothers found the demolition codes they quickly moved out to the Promethium Refinery. Arriving on the Facility Straban and his brothers activated the Demolition Codes on the Ordinances and used the Crane to lower ordinances on the crude Promethium well. Straban and his brothers fought against several hordes of the Tyranids as they try to destroy the Generators powering the crane. Despite the countless attacks against them, they managed to successfully setup the Ordinances inside the Crude Promethium well and reported their status to Captain Acheran. Acheran then instructed his brothers to move towards the Observation Platform overlooking the Promethium Fields as it is a good vantage point to ambush the Tyranids. Once Straban and his squad arrived on the Observation Platform, Acheran instructed them to wait for the main bulk of the swarm to arrive and then they can detonate the explosives. Straban and his brother fought off several waves of the Tyranid beasts and they survived long enough to have Captain Acheran gave the signal to detonate the explosives. Straban and his brothers activated the explosives and caused 90% casualty rate on the oncoming Tyranid Horde, after finishing their objectives they safe extracted back to the Battle Barge Resilient.[1a]
Once onboard the Reslient, Straban and his brothers heard ill news regarding Demetrian Titus collapsing due to his wounds. However the squad was relieved to see Titus managed to recover without any issue. Straban and his brothers reported to Titus that the mission is a success and Titus himself congratulated Combat Squad Veridian for a successful Mission.[1b]
Vox Liberatis
Several days have passed during the Averax Campaign, Titus devised a plan to Eliminate the Hive Tyrant and find the source of the Vox Jamming Signal thats preventing them to communicate with the Astropathic Relay. Demetrian Titus would regulate the Vox Jamming Signal mission to Straban and his brothers from Combat Squad Veridian and Captain Acheran would monitor their squad's progress. Arriving on Averax City, Straban and his brothers quickly head out to possible location of the Vox Jamming Signal while being under fire by the Tyranid Swarm. Eventually Straban and his brothers would found out that the Thousand Sons erected a shield protecting a cathedral from the Tyranid Swarm. Straban and his brothers started looking for possible ways to destroy the shield within the enemy territory and luckily found a Chaos Alter being guarded by a Thousand Sons Sorcerer. After destroying the Alter and killing the Sorcerer and his troops the sheild is started to shutdown. They continued fighting their way through several thousand sons troops and found another second Chaos Alter. After destroying the second alter the Shield protecting the Cathedral shutdown and Thousand Sons Troops were decimated by the Tyranid unrelenting swarm. Straban and his brothers head out to the cathedral and after arriving inside the cathedral they made their way to the deeper underground levels of the cathedral. They found the source of the Vox Jamming Signal and it was maintaned by a Daemon Host possessed by a Lord of Change. Straban and his brothers quickly moved in and destroy every Chaos Alter they can find while being under attacked by the Lord of Change. They successfully destroyed all alters and banished the Lord of Change back to the warp and restablished Vox Communications again. Straban and his brothers extracted back to the Battle Barge Resilient after completing their mission.[1a]
Reliquary
After Combat Squad Damocles successfully send a message to Marneus Augustus Calgar for aid,Captain Acheran and Lieutenant Titus ordered Straban and his squad to destroy the Warp Beacon on Demerium as the Thousand Sons are using it to call in demonic reinforcements. Once Straban and his squad are deployed they quickly moved out to the location of the Warp Beacon while being under fire by Thousand Sons troops. An issue arrises when the Door of Tomb Chamber is sealed but with the help of the Terminal and Captain Acheran's instructions, Straban and his squad managed to open the door to the Tomb Chamber. While Straban and his brothers continued moving towards the Warp Beacons location they were under attacked by a Heldrake. The Daemon Engine would protect the Warp Beacon at all cost to the point it is willing to kill allied troops from the Thousand Sons just to prevent Straban and his brothers from destroying the Warp Beacon. Despite the constant bombardment the Squad managed to arrive on the Sanctum holding the Warp Beacon. Inside the Sanctum, Straband and his squad were contacted by the Machine Spirit and told them that the Sanctum can be purified by using Saint Lancae's relics. The Machine Spirit gave additional instructions on using what Sigils to use when cleansing the Sanctum. With the information provided to them by the Machine Spirit, Straban and his squad starts fighting the Heldrake. Squad Veridian managed to destroy the Heldrake and the Warp Beacon, with the Beacon destroyed the Thousand Sons are cut off from additional reinforcements.[1a]
Obelisk
After both Combat Squad Veridian and Combat Squad Talasa completed their objectives, they recieved new orders given to them by Captain Acheran and Liuetenant Titus with excplicit instructions on finding the Obelisk Control Console and shut down the shields protecting the Obelisk. Straban and his brothers start pushing through and moved towards the location of the Obelisk Control Console. They made their way through a Tomb and use it to move towards the Control Console. However issues arises when the Tomb is filled with Chaos Corruption and the only way to move safely is by using Holy Relics. Eventually the squad manage to escape the tomb unscathed and arrived on the Obelisk Control Console on time. The Control Console is protected by a Thousand Sons Sorcerer and troops under his command. Eventually Combat Squad Talasa and Veridian overpowered the defenders and shutdown the Control Console. Once they completed their objectives, Talasa and Veridian would report their success to Titus and Acheran. Both Squads regrouped with Battle Brothers from the Second Company and continued fighting the Thousand Sons of Demerium.[1a]
Victory over the Thousand Sons
After the defeat of the Thousand sons on Demerium, Straban would attend Liuetenant Demetrian Titus ceremony as he is awarded with the Laurels of Victory given to him by his Chapter Master Marnus Calgar. After the Ceremony Straban would continue his duties onboard the Battle Barge Resilient.[1a]
