Styger

Stygers are fauna native to the planet Fervious in the Calixis Sector. They are used as beasts of burden by the people of Fervious.^[1]

In addition, stygers produce milk with unusual properties; in addition to its nutritional value, styger milk coats the lining of the imbiber's throat, stomach and windpipe with a layer of a substance capable of neutralising any poisons that they may consume. This effect lasts for up to a day. It is so efficacious that Fervious' nobles make a point of drinking styger milk before any meal. This has led the planet's styger dairy farmers to grow extremely rich.^[1]
