The Styx Heavy Cruiser is a Chaos starship.
Overview
The Styx is a fleet support vessel. Its huge launch bays provide much-needed Attack Craft for Chaos fleets, and its long-range lances and weapons batteries pack an impressive punch. All of this allows the Styx to hang back and rip apart enemies at distance as its fellows close in.[1]
Originally used throughout Segmentum Obscurus and Ultima Segmentum during M32-M33, the Styx was eventually phased out in favour of new Battlecruisers coming out of Mars. It lives on in the fleets of Chaos, which greatly appreciate its abilities: Styx class ships fought against the Imperium in no fewer than thirty-nine major fleet engagements during the Gothic War.[1]
