Talk:Big Shoota
The Big Shoota is a common support weapons used by orks. It is a larger version of the Shoota that fires a heavier calibre shell, has a longer range and faster rate of fire. They can be carried as support weapons by boys in a mob, as status symbols for Nobs and Flashgitz, or can be mounted on vehicles as anti-infantry weapons. Unlike the support weapons of the other races, Big Shootas can be fired on the move when carried. This is mainly due to the standard ork practice of blazing away wildly at the enemy when charging towards them. Vehicle mounted Big Shootas are fitted to most ork vehicles and come as either single weapons operated by passengers or as twin-linked weapons manned by the vehicle crew. As with most ork weapons, there is no standard design. Each weapon is made to a Mechboy's unique design from whatever materials and spare parts were available at the time. Some are even made from heavily modified weapons salvaged from other races.
