Talk:Black Library of Chaos
"One, supposed, craftworld has survived untouched by alien influences. Deep within the Eldar webway, far beyond the reach of the Imperium, is the Black Library of Chaos. Within are collected tomes, books and codices describing the Eldar studies of the warp. These objects describe the blandishments, influences, forms, creatures, perils, promises and horrors of the warp and the realm of Chaos. It is here that resides the terrible knowledge used by the Eldar to create what they hoped would be their master god who would finally overthrow the powers of Chaos. Due to the decadent and perverted nature of post-Fall Eldar society, the essence of the new god was poisoned and thus was born the fourth god of Chaos, the incarnation of the sins of the Eldar race: Slannesh. Such knowledge must be guarded at all costs."
Is this information accurate? I had never heard of this part before. If so, does anyone know what source it is from? Xaque 21:37, 3 August 2006 (CEST)
- This is very old stuff. I think it's either from Realms of Chaos or the Warhammer 40.000 Compilation. --Inquisitor S. 22:07, 3 August 2006 (CEST)
- I have no idea, I know very little about the Eldar etc. Just edited the mark up and assumed that the information is/was correct. The article isn't that recent. (And I see InquisitorS and I are a couple of minutes out of sync :P-- JoeneB, 3 August 2006, 22:04 (CEST).

Okay, I was reading the Eldar codex (the 2006 one) for the Black Library, and it makes two references to the "sentinels" of the Black Library. Is this the "psychic mind" referred to the Eldar, or something different?
1. - "To reach the Black Library it is necessary to travel the secret passages within the warp, to pass its terrifying sentinels, and to find one of the hidden entrances that lead within."
2. - "As to the sentinels of the Black Library, their true nature remains an unspoken secret, yet they are described as the most terrible of all perils in the webway and the most dreaded individuals amongst all the Eldar kindreds."
The way that was worded makes it sound like it consists of a number of individual aspect warriors of some sort, there's some pretty heavily anthropomorphizing there. Can someone clarify that for me? Sounds like it'd be worthwhile to note. -- Ordinators 02:19, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
