"Those outside the Inquisition who have witnessed daemons manifested are executed for their knowledge (or in the the case of Adeptus Astartes - mindwiped). The logic is, one who is ignorant of Chaos cannot fall to it."

This seems a bit odd to me - there are numerous black library novels where the protagonists have knowledge of Daemons (Caiphas Cain, Ragnar Blackmane, Uriel Ventris) and suffer no such treatment from the Inquisition. I would also question the likelyhood of an Astartes chapter submitting their marines to be mind wiped, particularly when they are the weapons of choice against Daemons when the Grey Knights are not available. I never recall the Space Wolves being mind wiped after the first war for Armageddon, nor in their later battles with daemons in the Space Wolf novels.

Even though Ragnar Blackmane doesn't get mindscrubbed for his forbidden knowledge at the end of the novel, I can't imagine the Inquisition would want info on an insidious threat (Chaos) becoming common knowledge. I say insidious because Chaos is not just whatever daemons the Space Vikings battled in the Space Wolf novels. --Acidface 23:09, 1 February 2008 (CET)
