Talk:Eldar Mythology
Gonna have to cut back on the extraneous links I added tomorrow. --Lygris 05:50, 15 September 2008 (CEST)
I've reduced the excessive links and fixed the sources to connect to in-Lexicanum material. My only concern is that there are still four Eldar gods who remain without their own articles or details. We have a few options:
1) If there's enough material (I doubt it), create their own articles. 2) Create a composite article of "other Eldar gods" using what little citation and sources we have, combining four stub articles into one detailed article accepting that we know very little about those gods. 3) The links get bolded with a sentence next to it.
I opt for option 2 if our Eldar know-it-alls have time. Xenos aren't my speciality. If no one can step up to the plate by tomorrow, I'll bold the links and leave it until someone comes along to fix it. --Lygris 16:45, 15 September 2008 (CEST)
I'm new to lexicanum editing, but I'd like to add some things about Qah to this pantheon because he is one of the gods that was worshipped and existed at this time. He was split apart by Slaanesh's birth at the same time the eldar gods were destroyed/split as well. Also, the problem with calling them the eldar gods is that some of these gods were worshipped by other races just as much. I'm not really sure how to tackle this though. I would really like to start a page strictly for the 40k pantheon and include all the gods , chaos, eldar, and others on one page. I don't want to go ahead without some kind of ok though because this section was fairly well done and I don't want to mess with it without permission.
I also believe the pantheon is actually called the Shah-Haii (most ancient ones) and not simply "the eldar gods". Also, some of these gods definitely still exist so saying "The eldar no longer pray to them" is a bit off as the laughing god is prayed to regularly by the harlequins, the Hrud pray to Qah and Qah is embodied by the Umbra, and khaine has avatars. -Halsfield 12:45, 19 June 2009 (EST)
