Talk:His Last Command (Novel)
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
I know this page is WIP, but what is the difference between a "summary" and "synopsis" section? The Lemur 06:45, 21 March 2012 (CET)
- As I understand it, a summary is an overview, while a synopsis is detailed. It's not exactly the definition I was taught, but it's what's used here and on places like imdb. The general idea, I believe, is that a summary is not only easier to put up than a megahuge synopsis, but you don't spoil the crap out of everything in one either, so people can stop reading if they're like 'Oh wait, don't wanna know actually.'--Mob 06:50, 21 March 2012 (CET)
- Ah, ok. Seems a bit over the top to me, I'd have thought a lead paragraph could contain the "summary" info and the main article the "synopsis" stuff. I tend not to work on the novel pages though - so it aint my area of expertise, was just curious. The Lemur
