Anyone know where Kharn's Khorne dedicated image comes from? The one with him all in red.--Ytokes 11:32, 21 June 2011 (CEST)

The Betrayer Image

Is it confirmed anywhere that it is actually Kharn in the image? From the appearance it looks like Angron and Lorgar. Character in foreground is obviously Lorgar. If character behind him is roughly the same size, it seems like it'd be Angron and not Kharn. Also, wasn't it Angron who duel-wielded chainaxes and not Kharn?Odinsgrudge 08:11, 23 April 2012 (CEST)

Everything you say is accurate, but ADB posted this on his blog, and wrote (with obvious sarcastic inflection) that it would be really hard to guess who's who. Given that the upcoming title is "Betrayer," I drew the obvious conclusion.--Proteus77 08:16, 23 April 2012 (CEST)
Don't draw conclusions. Ever. Khârn only earned the title Betrayer WAY AFTER the Siege of Terra when the World Eaters Legion fractured. So no, there is no reason to assume the picture shows Khârn. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 15:21, 25 April 2012 (CEST)
Read a little bit around on that website: The novel is about an event happening in the 7 years between the Dropsite Massacre and the Siege of Terra. That means, it's about an yet unknown event that wasn't part of the old Horus Heresy Artbook lore. And the World Eaters held the Word Bearers in high esteem (see "Battle for the Abyss"), which narrows the possibilities down even more.
Take the image out until we can confirm what it depicts. --DetlefK 15:48, 25 April 2012 (CEST)

Rebirth interpretation

I've edited the section on Kharn's appearance in Rebirth barring a discussion here because it is, frankly, awfully written and taken out of context. Kharn's mission objective for Prospero is not to 'find out the fate of the Thousand Sons' but, as he himself says, to locate a Luna Wolf sigil gifted to Magnus to prevent any other Psykers from using it to interact with Horus. As an aside, he also had a personal objective to locate the Thousand Sons' 'mind-healing devices'. Menes Kalliston plants no suggestions whatsoever in Kharn's mind, as he himself explicitly states that using his powers could provoke a negative, violent reaction in Kharn. The only thing Kalliston does is taunt Kharn verbally.
