Older background

Looking through some other articles on Lexicanum mentioning Leviathan, they refer to Leviathan as having been defeated. Where does this info come from? Maybe the 3rd ed Tyranid codex, as I don't have a copy of that? All recent fluff I have read refers to Leviathan as undefeated and still attacking the galaxy. If someone could find the source saying Leviathan was defeated, maybe a section to the article under the heading of 'Older Background' should be added. Something saying Leviathan was once stated as being defeated but has been retconed.

Also, it seems as it the concept of Leviathan attacking in two jaws and spreading the shadow in the warp between them is being taken out of recent fluff. I say "seems as if" because there's no mention at all of it in the 5th ed tyranid codex and the image in the 5th ed main rulebook shows Leviathan's invasion formation as not following this strategy. Maybe this point is nothing. I don't know. But the concept of the two jaws was a big part in older Leviathan fluff and it's odd that it's not mentioned anymore. -- Icaterus 23:17, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Coloring?

I'm confused, i thought Leviathan's color was Bone and Purple? --Serithi 04:27, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok. It may be. I wrote the part about "white skin with black carapaces highlighted in purple" going off of what's in the 5th ed codex. There's only model photos in there which look like that but there's no text description of what the actual colours are. If one of the older codexes or something states it as bone and purple then yeah change it to say that. --Icaterus 03:28, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, forgot to sign the first comment. Anyhow, i just checked with a friend, they said they're Bone and Purple in Dawn of War 2, and i already know it's Bone and Purple in the Tyranid mod for DoW1, so i'll edit. Now i just gotta find pics... --Serithi 04:27, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
