Talk:Machine God

I really don't think there's any validity to the claim that Void Dragon is the "Necron god of machinery". A race like the Necrontyr don't need a god of machinery with their advancements, and they sure as Hell don't worship the C'Tan. Klarsh Voxiz 00:24, 22 March 2006 (CET)

"However there is nothing that supports this idea." - from article

Hate to sound rude, but there is, a story in the Necron Codex that all but confirms the presence of a C'tan on Mars. Since it cannot possibly be the Outsider and the Deciever and Nightbringer are already awake, it must be the Void Dragon. Now, it's not solid proof, but it does support the notion. The schism in the ranks of the Techpriests is quite a coincidence too, is it not, them claiming they have seen the C'tan tombs and that Necrons have tried to land there. --Ktan 18:54, 30 August 2006 (CEST)

Also, posted on the lexmachinicum itself:

Page 4 - Translation of an Eldar Artifact

This article only briefly mentions the Void Dragon, saying that "The Vaul-moon shall bring forth the Dragon" (12). It is hypothesised that this may be the Eldar equivilent of a Forge World, although some would say that, in conjunction with the information on the other pages, this points toward the Void Dragon residing on Mars, and even go so far as to say that the Machine God of the Adeptus Mechanicus is in fact the Void Dragon.

I understand you don't wish to validate these claims so quickly, but to rubbish them so quickly is also just as wrong.

Again, no offence meant --Ktan 18:57, 30 August 2006 (CEST)

also, regarding the above, although I agree with the fact they did not have a 'god of machiney' per se, many of the Necrontyr did worship the C'tan, it says so in the Codex itself in the Deceiver's backstory.--Ktan 10:41, 31 August 2006 (CEST)
